A considered next step for a heavy vehicle tradesperson: a busy, well-established trailer workshop in Perth, Western Australia, is looking for a full-time Heavy Vehicle Body Builder / Trailer Mechanic. Whether you work in Dubai, Doha, Riyadh or Muscat today, the role asks for dependable craftsmanship on trailers, both structural and mechanical.
Your time would be divided between fabrication and welding, structural repairs and bodywork on a wide variety of trailer makes and models, and mechanical work: inspecting, servicing, diagnosing and repairing trailers, brakes, suspension and running gear included. Technical drawings guide much of the work, and hands-on problem-solving is part of the job.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, weld and complete structural repairs and bodywork across a wide variety of trailer makes and models
- Inspect and service trailers
- Diagnose and repair trailer faults
- Look after brakes, suspension and running gear
- Work from technical drawings and resolve problems in a practical, hands-on manner
Requirements & Eligibility
- Accomplished welding and fabrication skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Experience working in steel and aluminium
- A proven record with heavy vehicles and trailers
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills, together with experience on electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of running-gear brands found on trailers, such as SAF, BPW, Hendrickson and K-Hitch
- Relevant trade qualifications and/or sound industry experience
- Would be great to have: an HR or other truck licence, a forklift licence, confined space certification, intermediate rigging and overhead crane experience
