What Jobs Abroad offers
- Roles with sponsorship built in: positions in Australia and New Zealand with employers prepared to sponsor a work visa for the right candidate, from visa sponsorship jobs in Australia for UAE residents to skilled openings across New Zealand.
- Detailed visa guides: how the Australian Skills in Demand (482) visa and the New Zealand Accredited Employer Work Visa operate, from offer through to grant.
- News and video briefings: changes to sponsorship and visa rules, and short videos on working life in both countries.
- WhatsApp channel: new roles shared as soon as they are listed.
From application to first day
- Select a role. Review the sponsored roles currently open and compare every requirement with your background: experience, qualifications, licences and English.
- Send your application. Use email or WhatsApp from the job page to share your CV and any trade certificates.
- We assess the fit. Your application is checked against the employer's brief, and suitable candidates are put forward. If the role is not right for you, we will say so clearly.
- Employer interview. Shortlisted candidates speak with the employer, usually on a video call; certain roles also involve a practical or trade test.
- Offer and sponsorship. Once the employer offers you the position, it sponsors your work visa while you prepare your own documents for the visa application.
- Grant and relocation. With the visa granted, you travel and begin work with your sponsor, supported at every stage by our visa guides.
Sectors and occupations
- Professional roles: engineers, accountants, and positions in HR and management.
- Trades: electricians, plumbers, welders, boilermakers, fitters, machinists, carpenters and cabinet makers.
- Construction: scaffolders, formworkers, concreters, tilers, roofers and labourers.
- Automotive: auto electricians, motor mechanics, diesel and heavy-vehicle mechanics, panel beaters and spray painters.
- Hospitality: chefs and cooks, restaurant and venue managers, and front-of-house staff.
- Healthcare & care: registered nurses, alongside disability support and aged care workers.
- Agriculture: farm managers, farm hands, and dairy and poultry workers.
- Hair & beauty: barbers, hairdressers and stylists.

Why sponsorship is the right foundation
For skilled people already working in the Gulf, employer sponsorship means moving to a confirmed role with an employer that is approved and accountable to the government, rather than starting over and searching for work on arrival.
- A confirmed position. You relocate for a defined role with a named employer, not on the chance of finding work once you land.
- An accountable employer. Sponsors require approval from the Australian or New Zealand government and must observe the pay and conditions rules that protect sponsored staff.
- Family can usually be part of the plan. Both visas generally allow a partner and dependent children to be included, within the visa rules.
- Scope for a long-term future. Sponsored employment can sometimes lead to permanent residence, for example through Australia's Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186), depending on the rules at the time.
The vision behind Jobs Abroad
Across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain, skilled people have already done the hard part of an international career: they have moved, adapted and proven themselves in demanding workplaces. Our vision is to open sponsored pathways to Australia and New Zealand that turn that experience into a clear next step.
We want an electrician in Abu Dhabi, a chef in Doha or an engineer in Riyadh to see genuine sponsored roles, understand exactly what each visa asks of them, and plan the move with the same professionalism they bring to their work, without paying anyone for a promise.
Above all, we want each move to be a considered career decision: the right role, an employer approved to sponsor you and, where the rules allow, a long-term future for you and your family.
Our standards
- Every role we publish comes from an employer prepared to sponsor a visa.
- When a role does not match your profile, we tell you clearly.
- Visa rules are explained in plain terms, with links to the official government sources.
