Common questions

Concise answers on sponsored roles and work visas for professionals in the UAE and the Gulf. The visa guides cover every topic in full.

Who are the roles open to?

Anyone with the right skills and experience, whatever their nationality and wherever they are based. We write with professionals in the UAE and the Gulf in mind, but every role is open to suitable applicants elsewhere.

What does employer-sponsored mean in practice?

Your employer backs your work visa application (the Skills in Demand 482 visa in Australia, the AEWV in New Zealand) and has to follow government rules on pay and conditions.

Will I need to take an English test?

For most Australian roles, yes, usually IELTS or PTE. Some New Zealand roles ask for English evidence as well. The requirements are stated on each listing.

How long should I allow?

Typically between two and six months from offer to visa grant, depending on the country, your occupation and how quickly your documents are ready. It is worth factoring this into your notice period.

Can my family relocate with me?

In most cases, yes. Both visas generally allow your partner and dependent children to be included, subject to the visa rules in force when you apply.

How do I submit an application?

Open the role and choose "Apply by email" or "Apply on WhatsApp", then send your CV together with any trade certificates.
