Financial Accountant
Onshore applicants only
Visa sponsorship
Accounting & Finance · Melbourne, VIC, Australia · Contract · $90,000 - $120,000/yr · Visa: Employer sponsored · Applicants: Onshore applicants only
This is a considered career step in Melbourne. An established marketplace business, growing quickly within the Australian technology scene, is appointing a Financial Accountant. The appointment begins on a temporary footing and is designed to settle into a permanent full-time position along a clear pathway.
The position reports to the Financial Controller and works in operational alignment with the CFO. Its substance is calm, reliable control: disciplined month-ends, a balance sheet that holds up to scrutiny and statutory compliance across a multi-entity group. Routine transactional processing rests with an assistant accountant, so your attention goes to reviewing the core ledgers and supporting baseline cash and budgeting. Clean reporting matters more here than complex commercial modelling, and the culture is lean, transparent and unbureaucratic, with direct access to senior leadership.
Full visa sponsorship is offered to eligible Working Holiday visa holders already in Australia whose accounting capability is proven.
