A considered next move in tax and business advisory: a progressive, highly regarded boutique firm on the Brisbane city fringe is seeking a Junior or Intermediate Accountant for its Tax & Business Services team. The firm advises a diverse portfolio of clients on accounting, taxation and business matters.
Its way of working sets it apart. Engagements are priced on a fixed-fee basis, with no timesheets and no traditional targets, and the emphasis rests on quality, efficiency and the results clients achieve. You would work in close partnership with a Senior Manager, with mentoring that continues as you grow. Key Responsibilities
- Take care of preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
- Support taxation compliance alongside general business services
- Correspond with the ATO, ASIC and other relevant authorities
- Work in step with senior team members to deliver quality work and excellent client outcomes, while gaining tax planning and advisory exposure as your experience develops
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 18 months' experience within Tax & Business Services in Australian public practice accounting
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting
- Current CA or CPA studies, or an interest in completing that qualification
- Experience of Xero or a similar accounting system
- Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a positive, motivated attitude with a genuine desire to develop your accounting career further
