An Australian-owned infrastructure contractor, trusted by carriers and prime contractors across Australia, seeks a Telecommunications Field Engineer to lead integration, commissioning and carrier acceptance on a national programme.
The role is hands-on and senior in scope. You would bring RF and Tx expertise together with rigging tickets and structural insight, working on greenfield builds and brownfield co-locations. The company's two director-led delivery teams also handle rigging, civil construction, structure upgrades and decommissioning, and the position involves travel to remote and metro sites.
It is full-time direct employment, not labour hire, under ANZSCO 313212. The employer is approved as a Standard Business Sponsor for Subclass 482 Skills in Demand; overseas candidates with suitable qualifications who hold eligible visas may be considered, and priority goes to Australian citizens, permanent residents and other Australians.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead integration of RF and Tx systems on brownfield co-locations and greenfield builds
- Oversee commissioning and carrier acceptance at each site
- Prepare acceptance packs to the standard set by the carrier
- Install and commission antennas and outdoor cabinets
- Fit feeders, RUs and microwave dishes and put them into service
- Assist with structural rigging on face frames, extensions and upgrades, alongside the crew, when needed
- Maintain safety under the company or client HSE system (permits, rescue plans, SWMS, exclusion zones) and travel nationally to metro and remote sites
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven telco Field Engineer background in RF and Tx integration, carrier acceptance packs and commissioning
- Rigging ticket (Advanced or Intermediate) and structural steelwork experience on telco towers
- Current Working at Heights, EWP and First Aid
- Comfortable with remote-site travel and mobilising at short notice
- Open QLD driver's licence; MR/HR and other tickets preferred
