Key Responsibilities
- Lead each consultation on cut, colour and styling preferences, with beard-shaping and men's grooming part of the conversation
- Shape, taper, trim and cut hair with precision, using clippers, scissors, razors and other professional tools, then style the finished look
- Provide a refined grooming service: beard and moustache detailing, wet shaves and hot towel treatments
- Shampoo, condition and treat both hair and scalp, recommending suitable products along the way
- Apply and remove colour, tints, highlights and bleach, as well as chemical treatments that straighten, relax or perm
- Complete each style with blow dryers, straighteners, curling irons and styling products
- Share expert advice on scalp and hair care, keeping a hairstyle at its best and the products worth using
- Uphold salon hygiene and health and safety standards by maintaining, cleaning and sanitising all tools, equipment and work areas, and coordinate client appointments, schedules and payments as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least the minimum of two (2) years' full-time experience as a Hairdresser or Barber
- Proven technical skill in haircutting, colouring, styling and men's grooming
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong customer service focus
- The ability to work efficiently and cooperatively within a team
- Sound knowledge of hygiene practices in a salon setting
- Sound knowledge of safety practices in a salon setting
